The precocious diagnosis and the preventive therapy of the pathological actualities at the culture fish in direct relationship with the production indicators

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:
- the appreciation of the health estate of the fish populations
- the improvement of the diagnosis methods of the pathological actualities of the culture fish
- the introduction of the current prophylactic treatments in fishy field work
- the quantification of the values of productive indicators in fish populations, carefully observed by the veterinarian doctor

Measurable objectives:

   1. The appreciation of the health estate of the studied fish populations (the appreciation of the keep conditions, the appreciation of the water quality, the values of physiological parameters)
   2. Microbiological exams of the water and the fish material, for the identification of the non-pathogenic and pathogenic flora
   3. Bacteriological exams of necessity for the identification of the pathogenic genders involved in the evolution of bacterial afflictions
   4. Periodical laboratory exams of necessity for the discovery of ecto- and endoparasitary invasions
   5. Parasitological exams of necessity for the diagnosis of clinical parasitory infestations
   6. The medical and sanitary observement of the fish populations supporting the controlled grow experiments
   7. The evaluation of productive indicators under a financial, merceological and epidemico-sanitary aspect.

Valorification

   The results of the experiments will contribute to the improvement of the existing methods for the diagnosis of the pathological states, while an integrated monitorization of a relatively high number of parameters characterizing health condition, as well as of the production indices, will permit a rapid identification of the risk factors. The benefits of the final results will be materialized in the reduction of losses at the level of piscicultural production.
   The intermediary results will be applied progressively, while the results of the growth and therapeutic experiments will be immediately implemented, according to their nature, on the piscicultural effectives of the Research Station.
   The final results attained will be disseminated by means of scientific contributions, communicated and published at various manifestations in the field, in diploma and master works of the students. Also, a guide presenting the main medico-sanitary procedures taken into study will be elaborated. The results will be published in prestigious international journals (cited by ISI), such as: Journal of Fish Diseases, Fish Biology, Acta Hungarica, or in the publications included in the international data basis, such as: The Romanian Journal of Veterinary Medicine, The Journal of Parasitology.

The expected results of the project:

- establishing a precocious method of diagnosis of the pathological stages of the culture fish, which will lead to the estimation of the minimal limit of emergence of parasitary invasions and infections processes with clinical evolution;    - the elaboration of a medicamentary forage with preventive action, on the base of the growth of the immunological values of the organisms of fish;
   - the establishment of the parasitory fauna and its' effects in the aquacultural farms taken into consideration
   - the establishment of a therapeutical preventive chart that can adapt to the epidemiological situation of each aquacultural farm
   - the exclusion of lesions and the amelioration of the commercial aspect of the delivered fish through the preventive therapeutical actions;
   - the elaboration of an ihthyopathological guide (a manual of fish diseases), sent to the fish specialists into electronic or print shape.
