RESEARCH ON THE FLUCTUATING ASYMMETRY OF SOME MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS OF THE FINS OF PERCA FLUVIATILIS SP.

Abstract
On our planet, most of the living organisms are characterized by a bilateral simetry of their body. Besides the bilateral symetrical organisms, well manifested, there are many creatures in wich the simetry is disrupted. These asymmetryes may occur as some differences between the right and left side of their bodyes and have most of the time a negative impact over the individuals. This paper reviews some aspects of the fluctuating asymmetry manifested at the length and width of the pectoral and ventral flippers of perch. This kind of data are almost absent in the speciality literature, therefore this study reviews a part of this problem. Four lots were organized according with the age and the weight of the fish. Their weight has been determined by weighing with a digital balance and the measurements have been making using vernier callipers. The age of the fish has been determined by counting the growth rings on the scales. The mean difference found at the pair flippers had values between 0,75 and 1,88 mm for the length of pectoral flippers; between 0,57 and 1,63 mm for the length of the ventral flippers; between 0,43 and 0,84 mm for the pectoral flippers base width; between 0,38 si 0,69 mm for the ventral flippers base width. The differences that were found between the right and the left side of the studied parameters are no statistically significant, although they show the phenomenon of fluctuating asymmetry.

Rezumat
Pe planeta noastra, majoritatea organismelor vii se caracterizeaza printr-o simetrie bilaterala a corpului lor. Pe lânga organismele cu simetrie bilaterala,bine manifestata,exista si numeroase vietuitoare la care simetria este perturbata.Aceste asimetrii se concretizeaza sub forma unor diferente între partea dreapta si cea stânga a corpului lor si au de cele mai multe ori un impact negativ asupra individului.Studiul de fata evidentiaza unele aspecte ale asimetriei fluctuante manifestate la nivelul lungimii si latimii înotatoarelor pectorale si ventrale la biban. În literatura de specialitate astfel de date sunt aproape inexistente, studiul de fata propundu-si sa elucideze macar în parte aceasta problema.S-au organizat 4 loturi în functie de vârsta si greutatea lor.Greutatea s-a determinat prin cântarire pe o balanta digitala, iar masuratorile s-au efectuat cu ajutorul unui subler. Vârsta pestilor s-a determinat prin numararea inelelor de crestere de pe solzi.Mediile diferentelor gasite la nivelul înotatoarelor perechi au avut valori cuprinse între 0,75 si 1,88mm pentru lungimea înotatoarelor pectorale, între 0,57 si 1,63 mm pentru lungimea înotatoarelor ventrale, între 0,43 si 0,84 mm pentru latimea la baza a înotatoarelor pectorale si între 0,38 si 0,69 mm pentru latimea la baza a înotatoarelor ventrale.Diferentele gasite între partea dreapta si stânga, la parametri studiati nu sunt semnificative statistic,desi ele evidentiza fenomenul de asimetrie fluctuanta la aceasta specie.
