Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe the development stages of the embryo and most important aspects of larval period at Japanese ornamental carp. Thus, has been characterized seven broad periods of embryogenesis - the zygote, cleavage, blastula, gastrula, segmentation, pharyngula and hatching, respectively. These divisions highlight the changing spectrum of major developmental processes that occur since fertilization to hatching. Stages subdivide the periods and their names are based on morphological features, generally readily identified by examination in microscopy of the live embryo. In the conditions of maintaining water temperature around 22oC, the embryonic development lasted 50 hours. During larval period, the main aspects were following: yolk resorbtion, body pigmentation and completed organogenesis, filled with gas of the swim bladder, fins differentiation, the appearance of active body movements and start of the exogenous feeding.

DEZVOLTAREA EMBRIONARĂ ŞI LARVARĂ LA CRAPUL ORNAMENTAL JAPONEZ CYPRINUS CARPIO (LINNAEUS, 1758)
Rezumat
Scopul lucrarii este de a descrie stadiile dezvoltarii embrionare, precum si cele mai importante aspecte ale perioadei de dezvoltare larvara la crapul ornamental japonez. Au fost caracterizate astfel cele sapte mari perioade ale embriogenezei - zigotul, clivajul, blastula, gastrula, segmentarea, faringula si perioada de eclozare. Aceste diviziuni au fost evidentiate prin schimbarea spectrului celor mai importante procese care au loc de la fertilizare pana la eclozare. Stadiile se subdivid in perioade si denumirea lor se bazeaza pe trasaturi morfologice identificate prin examinarea la microscop a embrionilor vii. In conditiile in care temperatura medie a apei a fost de 22oC, perioada de embriogeneza a durat 50 de ore. Principalele aspecte urmarite pe perioada larvara au fost reprezentate de: resorbtia sacului vitelin, pigmentarea corpului si definitivarea organogenezei, umplerea cu aer a vezicii inotatoare, diferentierea inotatoarelor, aparitia miscarilor active in masa apei si trecerea la hranirea exogena.
