RESEARCH REGARDING MILK PRODUCTION IMPROVEMENT TO THE NORD-EAST OF ROMANIA LOCAL SHEEP BY CROSSING WITH AWASSI RACE

Abstract
   In many farms from Romania the sheep are raising without a breeding program, for that reason sheep performances are low. The aim of this study was to see if we can improve milk production of local sheep from the Nord-East of country by crossing with Awassi rams. For this we cross local sheep with Awassi rams. First generation lambs have a good body development with an average body weight of 5.5 kg at birth and 17.5 kg at age of 60 days. First generation ewes have a bigger milk production than his mothers with a better udder development. The lactation length of first generation ewe was bigger with 15% than local sheep. Average milk production in the first lactation was 79kg with 29 kg bigger than local sheep.

CERCETĂRI PRIVIND ÎMBUNĂTĂŢIREA PRODUCŢIEI DE LAPTE A OILOR LOCALE DIN NORD-ESTUL ROMÂNIEI PRIN ÎNCRUCIŞĂRI CU RASA AWASSI

Rezumat
   În multe ferme din România oile sunt crescute fără a se urmări un program de ameliorare din această cauză performanţele acestora sunt mici. Scopul acestui studio a fost de a vedea dacă putem îmbunătăţi producţia de lapte a ovinelor locale din Nord-Estul ţării prin încrucişări cu berbeci din rasa Awassi. Mieii obţinuţi în prima generaţie au o bună dezvoltare corporală cu o greutate corporală medie la naştere de 5,5kg şi 17,5kg la vârsta de 60 de zile. Oile din prima generaţie au avut o producţie de lapte mai bună decât mamele lor şi o mai bună dezvoltare a ugerului. Durata lactaţiei a oilor din prima generaţie a fost mai mare cu 15% decât a oilor locale. Producţia medie de lapte în prima lactaţie a fost de 79 kg, cu 29kg mai mare decât a oilor locale.
