The history of the library of the "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Agricultural
Sciences and Veterinary Medicine is closely interwoven with that of the university
itself, being formed in 1933 while the Faculty of Agriculture had its headquarters
in Chisinau. Library collections have a broad spectrum of titles, comprising
books, reference books, magazines, manuscripts, CD-s, video cassettes.
The library has a total number of 112,597 titles, out of which 105,942 are
reference books and 6,655 magazines. The inter-library loans programme is carried
in association with 29 foreign and 18 domestic partners. A total of 3163 professors,
students, researchers, PhD researchers, from all over the country regularly
attend and benefit from the library,

- national and international inter-library loans;
- photocopying;
- translation services.;
- information retrieval service by trained staff to help users locate subjects;

- access to databases and E-journals, information on access and internet search tools.
Access to the library of the USAMV - Iasi is possible only to those in possession of a university library card, which also allows access to the reading rooms and to the borrowing service.
The library identity cards are issued by a special service of readers' evidence, which functions within the documentation compartment of the library.
