PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Viile Budureasca Company is one of the leading producers of quality wines in Romania, present in all major chains of hypermarkets, supermarkets, wine shops, as well as in the HoReCa system.

However, the lack of traditional land-boundary delineation and the insufficient knowledge of the fine-scale distribution of the vineyard potential in the perimeter of its own plantation, the consequences of transformations that the Dealul Mare wine growing region sufferes in the last 80 years similarly to entire Romanian viticulture, create difficulties to Viile Budureasca SRL in terms of differentiation of wine technologies and differentiation of wine assortments. The fulfillment of these requirements converges towards the recovery of the traditional structure of the vineyard in which the plantations of Viile Budureasca SRL are located, with the identification and delimitation of the areas with homogeneous viticultural potential, their distinct valorization and the promotion of the most valuable areas as elements of support of the wine marketing.

As a result, the objectives of this project are:

  1. Evaluation and mapping of the viticultural potential of the area where the plantations of Viile Budureasca are located;
  2. The delineation of homogeneous viticultural zones from the Budureasca-Gura Vadului-Vadu Sapat wine-growing area;
  3. Differentiation of technologies according to the potential of homogeneous viticultural zones and to cultivated varieties;
  4. Differentiated winemaking, by varieties and homogeneous viticultural zones, in order to obtain terroir wines with a constant sensory profile from year to year;
  5. Promotion of the concept of terroir wine through the marketing strategy in order to strengthen the reputation of Budureasca wines.
